Dear Alison, Gareth and Fiona, John was a true gentleman, who saw good and positive things in all the people he encountered. It was an honour to have worked with him and a privilege to be his friend in our retirement years. I shall miss his regular visits and his gentle, humorous and thoughtful contribution to our rather erratic discussions on just about any subject. May God be with you at this time of sorrow.
