John was a very dear friend of many years who will be sorely missed by us. We have many happy memories of times spent with John, Alison, Gareth and Fiona. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten.

I had the pleasure of knowing John over several decades, initially as a work colleague and later as a friend. In work, John was respected by all. He was methodical, logical and a safe pair of hands for managing the most complex of projects. In retirement, I have lasting memories of John, Colin and myself as we spent many a happy hour regularly putting the world to right.
John was a genuine and lovely man. He has left us far too early and he will be sorely missed. We send our love and best wishes to Alison, Gareth and Fiona.
